In 1994, Fred and Terry Slocum through their company Sequoyah Land and Cattle, Co., purchased a neglected 600 acre cattle ranch in North Central Arkansas and purchased their first five registered Angus heifers. The Corporate Objective and their personal goal was to produce the Best Seed Stock in the State of Arkansas. With the help of Fred's father, Glenn, fences were built, and pastures were reclaimed over the next several years. Today Sequoyah Angus Ranch encompasses over 2500 acres and breeds up to 250 brood cows annually.
